Machine Learning Engineer, Strategic Data Solutions

What you'll do

• Translate ambiguous business problems into technical requirements and solvable segments for internal partners.
• Design data science-driven solutions by balancing established techniques with custom machine learning models.
• Implement robust real-time and batch decisioning systems in production environments.
• Create reporting tools to monitor decisioning quality and maintain operational metric health.
• Investigate trends and assess threat impacts to implement agile logic changes.
• Communicate complex technical concepts and analysis to stakeholders with varying levels of expertise.
• Share knowledge on novel technologies in data science, machine learning, and software engineering to improve team capabilities.

What we're looking for

• A graduate degree with research or work experience in data science, or a Bachelor's degree with equivalent experience.
• Practical experience deploying machine learning solutions to address real-world questions through work, projects, or research.
• Practical experience implementing data science applications using Python, Scala, or Java.
• Theoretical understanding of machine learning algorithms and their relative strengths and weaknesses.
• Ability to use a querying language such as SQL to extract insights from data.
• Ability to think holistically about system structures to anticipate technical, business, and customer impacts.
• Effective communication skills to translate complex concepts into concise, business-focused solutions.
• Team-oriented skills to facilitate collaboration with both business and technical partners.
