Machine Learning Engineer, Strategic Data Solutions

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements into technical solutions for security, fraud prevention, and operational efficiency.
• Design data science approaches using standard techniques or custom algorithms to solve specific business problems.
• Build end-to-end production systems for real-time and batch decisioning in collaboration with engineers.
• Monitor production decision points to ensure the health of operational and business metrics.
• Investigate adversarial trends and behavior patterns to implement agile logic changes.
• Engineer novel features and signals to push beyond existing tools and methodologies.
• Communicate complex analysis results and data-driven insights to business partners and executives.

What we're looking for

• Education in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Statistics, or at least 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Practical experience with and theoretical understanding of algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection.
• Working knowledge of relational databases including SQL and large-scale distributed systems like Hadoop and Spark.
• Ability to implement data science pipelines and applications in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Ability to comprehend and debug complex systems integrations spanning toolchains and teams (preferred).
• Ability to extract meaningful business insights from data and identify the stories behind patterns (preferred).
• Excellent presentation skills to distill complex analysis into concise business-focused takeaways (preferred).
• Creativity to engineer novel features and signals while pushing beyond current tools and approaches (preferred).
