Linux/UNIX Systems Administrator Vice President

What you'll do

• Manage the full hardware lifecycle including planning, deployment, activation, and vendor management for low-latency servers.
• Perform advanced Linux kernel tuning, including CPU isolation, real-time threads, and network interface card optimization.
• Provide rapid response to production incidents across global trading and market-facing platforms.
• Design, test, and validate engineering releases and RPM packages for ultra-low-latency performance.
• Automate infrastructure administration and operational tasks using Perl, Shell, or Ansible.
• Lead technical decision-making during complex incidents and performance investigations across multiple regions.
• Drive standardization of technologies while coordinating with internal teams and third-party vendors.

What we're looking for

• Extensive experience administering enterprise Linux environments, specifically SLES and RHEL.
• Deep knowledge of low-latency systems engineering including kernel tuning, real-time kernels, and kernel bypass technologies.
• Strong expertise in TCP/IP networking, routing, firewalled environments, and protocols like NFS, DNS, and SSH.
• Experience with enterprise server hardware (HP ProLiant) and storage technologies (EMC, NetApp).
• Proficiency using Perl, Shell, and/or Ansible to automate infrastructure administration and operational tasks.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity while ensuring responsible and ethical use of data.
• Experience with VMware and Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
• Excellent analytical skills for troubleshooting in high-pressure environments and clear communication skills for technical stakeholders.
