JOB TITLE: Linux Systems Administrator SME - Active TS/SCI /w poly (Up to a 30k sign on bonus available) The Linux Systems Administrator SME joins the IT Infrastructure and Operations team to support a high-visibility, mission-critical environment on a long-standing Prime contract. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud computing environments. Key responsibilities include determining network specifications, resolving connectivity issues, and implementing security measures in coordination with the ISSO. The SME will develop automation scripts to increase operational efficiency, manage software patches, and create technical documentation. Required skills include SME-level proficiency with Linux operating systems, virtual machines, thin clients, and networking. Candidates should possess experience with AWS and have a bachelor's degree in a technical field. This position provides technical leadership to ensure system stability and integration for critical national-level operations.

What you'll do

Install, configure, manage, and maintain Linux systems, virtualization platforms, and cloud computing environments.
Determine network specifications and resolve hardware/software compatibility and networking issues.
Implement security measures and conduct audits in coordination with the ISSO to ensure policy compliance.
Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to increase operational efficiency.
Perform patch management by installing software updates and validating system functionality.
Create and update technical documentation regarding system configurations, processes, and procedures.
Support system integration and patch workflows in partnership with software developers and IT stakeholders.

What we're looking for

Must possess an active Top Secret SCI with polygraph clearance.
Must be a US citizen.
Must have 10+ years of related experience.
Must have a Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
Must have SME-level proficiency with Linux operating systems.
Must have demonstrated experience with virtual machines, Thin Clients, switches, and networking responsibilities.
Must have skills in system improvements, system performance, and automation.
Strong hands-on experience with AWS (preferred).
