What you'll do

  • Perform system administration for Linux operating systems including software installation, patching, and file system management.
  • Monitor performance metrics such as CPU, disk usage, and network uptime for Linux servers.
  • Implement, configure, and maintain Ansible servers, scripts, and STIG Manager tools.
  • Manage Linux security features including firewall configurations and the implementation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Execute system troubleshooting, hardware configuration, and recovery procedures to ensure server integrity.
  • Automate routine tasks using shell scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
  • Create and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for the Linux library.
  • Perform regular data backups and manage user account security profiles.

What we're looking for

  • Must be a U.S. citizen.
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
  • Must have at least 6 years of related experience and 8+ years of experience with RHEL 7 and/or RHEL 8 servers.
  • Must hold CompTIA Security+ CE and a Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) certification.
  • High school diploma or AA required; Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred.
  • Must have expertise in Linux administration, including file systems, performance monitoring, and STIG implementation.
  • Must possess skills in scripting (Bash, Ruby, Python, Perl) and automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Must be able to manage network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, FTP, NFS) and handle permissions for NFS, CIFS, and SMB.
