Linux System Administrator
The Linux System Administrator joins a team supporting a large enterprise IT contract for the DOD within a multi-enclave environment. This role involves providing systems and software operations, maintenance support, and monitoring for Linux, Microsoft, and Mac systems within a VMware virtual environment. Day-to-day responsibilities include triaging incident tickets in ServiceNow, performing technical software configurations, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing performance enhancements to resolve recurring issues. The candidate will manage server patch management, perform log reviews, and provide 24/7/365 on-call support. Required skills and technologies include experience with CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu, and Microsoft Server 2012 R2/2016; familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud services, Hyper Converged Infrastructure like Dell VxRail; and proficiency in scripting via Shell scripts, PowerShell, or PowerCLI. Administer and monitor Linux, Microsoft, and Mac systems within a VMware virtual environment.

What we're looking for
Must possess a bachelor's degree with 8 years of experience, a master's with 6 years, an associate's with 10 years, or a high school diploma with 12 years.
Must be a U.S. citizen with a current TS/SCI clearance and the ability to maintain a polygraph.
Must meet DoD 8570.11-IAT Level II certification requirements (Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, or SSCP).
Experience in Tier 2 system administration for Linux (CentOS, RHEL, Ubuntu) and Microsoft Server (2012 R2/2016) is required.
Must have experience administering systems within a VMware virtual environment and knowledge of cloud services (AWS or Azure).
Required experience includes scripting/automation using Linux Shell, PowerShell, PowerCLI, or other languages.
Experience with server patch management, log reviews, incident analysis, and IT Service Management tools like ServiceNow is required.
Certifications in VMware, Microsoft Server, Linux, or Mac administration; and experience with Ansible, Satellite, Puppet, or Chef are preferred.
