The Lead Software Engineer Python GenAI joins the Model Delivery and Platform Engineering team to build and deliver trusted, scalable technology products. This role involves designing, coding, and testing automation, specifically utilizing LLMs and agents to eliminate manual operational work and streamline remediations like security vulnerabilities and FARM findings. The engineer will own application risk, security, and data accountability while running resilient production services and championing site reliability practices. Key responsibilities include driving AI-assisted engineering practices and managing data processing pipelines. Required technical skills include advanced development in Python or Java, experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, and proficiency in Big Data/ETL tools like Hortonworks. Govern application risk, controls, and compliance by owning adherence to firm standards and managing lifecycle requirements.

Lead initiatives to improve platform reliability and stability using data-driven analytics.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Establish service level indicators and objectives with customers to maintain platform performance.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced development experience in Java or Python with excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills for complex production issues.
Hands-on experience with AWS or other clouds and container platforms like Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
Experience building scalable data processing and Big Data/ETL pipelines.
Working knowledge of core infrastructure including routers, load balancers, compute, storage, and networks.
Deep proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise architecture, and SRE practices.
Proficiency in white/black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection using tools like Grafana, Dynatrace, Prometheus, Datadog, or Splunk.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use in engineering workflows.
