As a Lead Software Engineer within Cloud Foundation Services, you will serve as a hands-on technical leader on an agile team focused on delivering secure, stable, and scalable technology products. You will also manage quality controls for AI guardrails, oversee CI/CD toolchain improvements, and ensure operational readiness through performance engineering. Required expertise includes SQL fundamentals with Postgres, experience in large corporate environments, and the ability to lead technical discussions regarding system design and risk management.

What you'll do

Lead the technical design and implementation of system architecture, component design, and integration patterns.
Deliver production AI and agentic applications using ADK and LangGraph.
Define and implement RESTful API design standards to ensure usability and reliability for consumers.
Write high-quality, secure, and production-ready code primarily in Python.
Develop and troubleshoot systems with a focus on performance, resiliency, and operational readiness.
Establish quality controls and guardrails for AI applications intended for production use.
Improve the SDLC toolchain including CI/CD, test automation, and security scanning.
Lead technical discussions to align stakeholders on design reviews, trade-offs, and delivery plans.

What we're looking for

Expert-level proficiency in Python and experience building backend services in enterprise environments.
Mandatory hands-on experience building, operating, and maintaining production AI applications using ADK and LangGraph.
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 6+ years of applied experience.
Strong experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability for production services.
Experience with API design and implementation using FastAPI or equivalent, including REST service and microservice best practices.
Experience with relational databases such as Postgres and strong SQL fundamentals.
Understanding of agile methodologies, CI/CD, performance engineering, and security-by-design.
Experience building and operating cloud-based applications on AWS (preferred); familiarity with containers (preferred).
