Lead Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and build critical technology solutions for Chase AI components including agentic experience services and assurance systems.
• Develop secure, high-quality production code and maintain complex algorithms that run synchronously with enterprise systems.
• Create architecture and design artifacts to ensure software development meets specific technical constraints.
• Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify hidden patterns and improve coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Drive team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Implement LLM patterns such as RAG, function calling, prompt management, and safety guardrails for agentic systems.
• Ensure all software solutions comply with strict security, privacy, and financial regulatory requirements.
• Manage the full software development lifecycle using automated tools, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization technologies.

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience building complex scalable applications or agentic systems.
• Hands-on experience building agentic systems using LLMs/SLMs and setting up MCP servers.
• Proficiency in coding with Java and Python, including the ability to work across both languages.
• Experience building production services using Spring Boot/Spring Cloud or Python frameworks like FastAPI/Flask.
• Solid AWS background including ECS, EKS, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines via GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CodeBuild.
• Strong API design skills (REST/OpenAPI, gRPC) and experience with observability stacks like Splunk or Prometheus.
• Practical understanding of LLM patterns such as RAG, function calling, prompt management, and safety guardrails.
