As a Lead Software Engineer within the Cloud Financial Management Technology group, you will join an agile team to build and deliver secure, scalable, and stable market-leading technology products. You will serve as a core technical contributor, designing creative software solutions, developing high-quality production code, and troubleshooting complex technical problems. Your daily work involves leading evaluation sessions with vendors, driving the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices, and leading communities of practice. You must possess advanced skills in React JS, Java, or Python, along with experience in CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. You will modernize front-end applications, manage large datasets, and utilize tools like Playwright or D3 for data visualization. This role requires deep knowledge of financial services IT systems and cloud-native experience to solve complex business problems.

What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions to solve complex technical problems.
Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
Apply Software Development Life Cycle tools and automation capabilities to increase the value of automated processes.
Lead communities of practice to promote the awareness and use of leading-edge technologies.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced proficiency in modern front-end development with React JS, including component-driven architecture and state management.
Hands-on experience modernizing front-end applications and automation scripting for the front end.
Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages, specifically Java or Python.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching engineers on responsible AI use.
Proficiency in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies, including CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and practical cloud native experience.
E2E testing with Playwright (preferred).
Experience with charting/data visualization libraries and building analytics-style UIs (preferred).
Experience integrating front-end applications with backend APIs and working with large datasets (preferred).
