What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code using Test Driven Development and Continuous Integration.
Review and debug code written by other engineers to ensure quality and stability.
Prototype and deliver AI-enabled workflows, including tool-using agents and orchestration patterns.
Lead feature design, development, and the formation of long-term program strategy.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Mentor engineers on best practices for reliability, performance, risk, and cybersecurity.
Translate stakeholder needs into technical designs and creative software solutions.
Set team expectations for the correct and secure use of AI-assisted development tools.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Advanced knowledge of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
Extensive core Java (version 8 or higher) development experience with Spring or similar frameworks.
Experience with Java Spring Boot, Hibernate, Kafka, Cassandra, Kubernetes, PowerMock, JMeter, Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace, Jenkins, Sonar, Fortify, Black Duck, Bitbucket, JIRA, and Confluence.
Expert understanding of data structures, algorithms, and multi-threaded programming for high-throughput, mission-critical platforms.
Experience with Test Driven Development using Junit and designing/building reusable services.
Experience with data security and encryption in an enterprise setting.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and coaching on responsible AI use (preferred).
Experience with cloud native applications development (e.g., AWS, GCP, private cloud) (preferred).
