What you'll do

Design, develop, and troubleshoot complex software solutions and technical problems beyond conventional approaches.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that run synchronously with enterprise systems.
Utilize AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and document code while ensuring compliance with security standards.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while ensuring all design constraints are met.
Analyze large datasets to create visualizations and identify patterns to improve system architecture and coding hygiene.
Partner with cloud and platform teams to resolve issues and implement self-service capabilities.
Lead database modernization planning, development of migration patterns, and direct support for modernization activities.
Troubleshoot production database issues and perform root cause analysis to support problem management workstreams.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
Experience with SQL Server, Aurora Postgres, CockroachDB, and AWS or Azure cloud platforms.
Experience performing database upgrades, migrations, and supporting databases in DevOps environments with automation and continuous delivery.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, validate, and refine code and documentation.
Understanding of responsible AI use, including data sensitivity, security expectations, and guidance on safe usage for peers.
Knowledge of SDLC, agile methodologies (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security; experience with NoSQL databases is preferred.
