Lead Software Engineer

What you'll do

• Lead the end-to-end design and delivery of scalable Java services and APIs for production environments.
• Architect and implement cloud-native solutions on Amazon Web Services using reliable and cost-aware patterns.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, design guidance, and the establishment of pragmatic engineering standards.
• Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks and Apache Spark for large-scale analytics and machine learning.
• Drive engineering excellence through continuous integration, automated testing, and secure software development practices.
• Govern the adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Define technical strategies with product and data partners to automate workflows and improve user experience.

What we're looking for

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
• Advanced Java experience, including building Spring Boot-based services in a microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience building cloud-native applications on Amazon Web Services.
• Experience with continuous integration, delivery, and modern build/version control practices like Git, Maven, or Gradle.
• Proficiency with automated testing frameworks like JUnit and mocking frameworks.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, and messaging patterns like Kafka.
• Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
• Advanced Python experience for automation, data engineering, or machine learning enablement (preferred).
