What you'll do

Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of scalable, low-latency backend services for the Buyer Cloud platform.
Drive multi-team initiatives focused on system decomposition, reliability, and operational excellence.
Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks in distributed workflows operating under strict latency budgets.
Partner with Product, Infrastructure, SRE, and Data Engineering teams to define technical roadmaps.
Establish engineering standards for design reviews, code quality, testing, and incident root-cause analysis.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through architectural guidance and code reviews.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
13+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Experience in a Staff or Lead Engineer role.
Expert-level proficiency in high-performance languages such as C++, Go, Java, or Rust.
Proven track record of designing and operating large-scale distributed backend systems in production.
Deep understanding of concurrency, multithreading, memory management, networking protocols, and performance profiling on Linux.
Experience building containerized, cloud-native services using AWS, Kubernetes, or ECS with robust observability.
Experience with ultra-low-latency systems, petabyte-scale data, or distributed datastores (preferred).
