As a Lead Software Engineer - Data Engineer, you will join an agile team within Corporate Technology to build and deliver trusted, scalable technology products. What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code and perform code reviews and debugging for other team members.
Design and build production-grade applications and data pipelines using Python, Java, and SQL.
Implement and lead the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code review and testing.
Build and manage cloud-native solutions using the AWS tech stack and Databricks for large datasets.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve the operational stability of software systems.
Lead technical evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical credentials.
Establish consistent validation standards for secure coding, peer reviews, and automated testing across the team.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Strong experience in Data Engineering, Python, SQL, and the AWS Tech Stack.
Strong hands-on Python/Java development experience to design, build, and support production-grade applications and data pipelines.
Strong SQL skills and experience working with data processing and data engineering workloads.
Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services and building cloud-native solutions.
Strong experience with Databricks, including development and processing of large datasets.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and understanding responsible AI use.
Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods, SDLC discipline, and advanced understanding of agile delivery (preferred).
