As a Lead Software Engineer - Cloud Platform Engineer/Azure within the Corporate Technology Infrastructure Platform team, you will serve as a core technical contributor in an agile environment. You will drive the adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for tasks like code review and incident analysis. The role requires proficiency in Python, Java, JavaScript, Groovy, and Terraform or Bicep for infrastructure as code on Azure. You will solve complex problems involving cloud architecture patterns for identity, networking, and compute while integrating Azure Cloud with on-premise systems.

What you'll do

Develop, design, and troubleshoot high-quality production code for secure and scalable systems.
Review and debug code written by other engineers to ensure quality and stability.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical feasibility.
Lead communities of practice to promote the adoption of leading-edge technologies across engineering teams.
Drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices for code review, refactoring, and testing.
Implement infrastructure as code using Terraform or Bicep on Azure cloud platforms.
Apply enterprise architecture patterns for integrating Azure Cloud with on-premise systems.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on system design concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience in Python, Terraform, and Azure public cloud.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM on Azure.
Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or Groovy.
Advanced understanding of agile methodologies including CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools while ensuring safety and security standards.
Experience applying enterprise architecture patterns on Azure Cloud Integrations with On-Prem systems.
Knowledge in Identity and Access Management, Banking & Finance services, and Cloud security principles (preferred).
