As a Lead Software Engineer - CDN SME within the Network Services team, you will serve as the subject matter expert for deploying and operating applications using Akamai and Cloudflare CDNs. You will lead system design efforts, perform code reviews, and maintain high-quality delivery pipelines to improve performance, reliability, and safety within a regulated environment.

What you'll do

Design and manage CDN applications leveraging Cloudflare and Akamai platforms.
Develop automation for network services infrastructure and provisioning using IaC and GitOps.
Lead system design efforts and produce architecture artifacts to support technical decisions.
Build and maintain high-quality delivery pipelines with automated tests and quality gates.
Review code and coach engineers on testing, CI/CD, security, and reliability standards.
Implement and drive team adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development workflows.
Automate network provisioning workflows including API integrations and React-based UI components.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
3+ years of hands-on software engineering experience with ownership of CDN production systems and frameworks.
Strong system design skills across distributed services, relational and NoSQL data stores, and messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
Practical experience running services in the cloud using Amazon Web Services patterns and services.
Solid understanding of secure software development lifecycle practices, CI/CD, and operational excellence.
Demonstrated ability to lead through influence via code reviews, technical decision-making, and mentoring.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of approved AI-assisted software development tools and responsible AI practices.
5+ years of operational experience with Akamai or Cloudflare CDNs, preferably within a banking/financial enterprise (preferred).
