What you'll do

Develop secure, high-quality production code while reviewing and debugging code written by other team members.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools to generate, refactor, and document complex software deliverables.
Validate and refine AI-generated outputs to ensure they meet performance, security, and accuracy standards.
Identify and automate the remediation of recurring issues to improve overall system operational stability.
Lead evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams to assess architectural designs and technical applicability.
Lead communities of practice to drive awareness and adoption of leading-edge technologies across software engineering.
Develop RESTful APIs to ensure seamless integration between internal and external services.
Implement automation and continuous delivery methods within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain.

What we're looking for

Formal training or certification in Software Engineering and 5+ years of applied experience.
8+ years of experience with a public cloud such as AWS.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, validate, and refine outputs for performance and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Proficiency in automation, continuous delivery methods (CI/CD), application resiliency, and security.
Proficiency in Java 21 or Python building into public cloud and CI/CD strategies.
Experience developing RESTful APIs for integration across internal and external services.
Practical cloud native experience (preferred).
Working knowledge of NoSQL database technologies like Apache Cassandra (preferred).
Working knowledge of messaging technologies like Apache Kafka (preferred).
In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems (preferred).
Exposure to building AI/ML driven applications to drive business goals (preferred).
