As a Lead Site Reliability Engineer within the Cloud Foundational Services team, you will hold a leadership role providing technical advice and mentoring to other engineers. Your primary responsibilities include conducting resiliency design reviews, breaking down complex problems into manageable tasks, and leading initiatives to improve application stability using data-driven analytics. You will establish service level objectives and error budgets while serving as the main point of contact during major incidents. You must utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate incident triage and lead the adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across the software development life cycle. Required skills include proficiency in Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net, along with experience in container orchestration, networking, observability, and CI/CD practices to ensure system scalability, performance, and security.
Lead resiliency design reviews and break down complex problems into manageable tasks for other engineers.
Improve application and platform stability using data-driven analytics to identify and solve technology bottlenecks.
Establish service level indicators, objectives, and error budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
Use enterprise-authorized AI to accelerate major-incident triage, troubleshooting, and post-incident analysis.
Serve as the primary point of contact during major incidents to resolve issues and prevent financial loss.
Provide technical expertise and mentorship to other engineers across multiple technical domains.
Lead the adoption of AI-assisted reliability workflows across the SDLC and toolchain practices.
Evaluate AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness, risk, and security alignment.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on site reliability engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in reliability, scalability, performance, security, enterprise system architecture, and toil reduction.
Fluency in at least one programming language such as Python, Java/Spring Boot, or .Net.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to improve SRE workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
Ability to evaluate AI-assisted operational recommendations for correctness, risk, and alignment with resiliency and security expectations.
Proficient knowledge and experience in observability, including white and black box monitoring, SLO alerting, and telemetry collection.
Proficient with continuous integration, continuous delivery practices, and tooling.
Proficient with container and container orchestration.
Experience troubleshooting common networking technologies and issues.
Advanced knowledge of software applications and technical processes with emerging depth in one or more technical disciplines.
