The Lead, IT Architecture (Data Engineer) joins the Enterprise Data and AI team to manage enterprise-level data life cycle processes. This role involves overseeing data ETL/ELT pipelines, maintaining data frameworks, conducting data cleansing, and orchestrating pipelines to ensure data consolidation. The individual will build scalable data solutions, maintain ontologies, and develop dashboards within Palantir Foundry to provide actionable insights. Key responsibilities include designing robust pipelines, optimizing data connections, and troubleshooting sync issues to support the Unified Data Layer. Required technical skills include Palantir Foundry, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, and Python. Preferred expertise includes PySpark, Spark SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, and JavaScript. The role solves the business problem of providing seamless, clean, and reliable data access across the organization for informed decision-making.
Design, build, and maintain robust data pipelines to ensure reliable data flow across the enterprise.
Orchestrate workflows and monitor the overall health of data pipelines to ensure continuous data availability.
Create and optimize data connections, datasets, and transformations to align with business needs.
Troubleshoot and resolve data sync issues to ensure consistent data flow from source systems.
Use Palantir Foundry to establish data connections, extract data, and design complex logical data models.
Develop and manage data cleansing, consolidation, and integration mechanisms to support big data analytics.
Build visualizations using Palantir Foundry tools and provide documentation and training for business users.
What we're looking for
Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and 9 years of Palantir experience, a Graduate Degree and 7 years of Palantir experience, or 13 years of Palantir experience.
Minimum of 4 years of experience with Data Pipeline development or ETL tools such as Palantir Foundry, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Python.
Minimum of 4 years of experience in Data Integration.
Experience designing and developing data pipelines in PySpark, Spark SQL, SQL, or Code Build (preferred).
Experience building and deploying data synchronization schedules and maintaining data pipelines using Palantir Foundry (preferred).
Strong understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Warehouse (DW) development methodologies (preferred).
Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cloud Data Platform, including architecture, query optimization, and performance tuning (preferred).
