Lead Information Security Systems Engineering

What you'll do

• Translate NIST SP 800-53 and CNSSI 1253 security controls into actionable requirements for functional engineering teams.
• Support the implementation and validation of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and configuration baselines.
• Execute RMF lifecycle activities including categorization, control selection, assessment, and continuous monitoring.
• Develop and maintain critical RMF documentation such as SSPs, SARs, POA&Ms, and Security Plans.
• Review high-level system designs to ensure software, networking, and hardware components meet security requirements.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders, Authorizing Officials, and external assessors to secure system authorizations.
• Track and report compliance status, risks, and remediation activities to program leadership.

What we're looking for

• Must have a minimum of a DoW Secret Clearance.
• A Bachelor's degree and 9 years of relevant experience, a Graduate degree and 7 years of experience, or 13 years of experience without a degree.
• One DoD 8140/8570-compliant certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP) or the ability to obtain one within 6 months.
• Experience with systems engineering lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, and testing (preferred).
• Experience with RMF lifecycle activities, NIST SP 800-53 controls, and STIGs (preferred).
• Exposure to cryptographic systems, FIPS 140-3, or NSA certification processes (preferred).
• Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain (preferred).
• U.S. citizens.
