Lead Full Stack Engineer

What you'll do

• Write and ship production code as a hands-on individual contributor to ensure platform stability.
• Manage uptime, performance, and resilience across all platform services to resolve bottlenecks before they become incidents.
• Build and maintain automated testing infrastructure across unit, integration, and end-to-end layers.
• Own the logging, alerting, and monitoring stack to provide full visibility into production systems.
• Design and enforce standardized error handling patterns across distributed system components.
• Evaluate platform components under load to ensure scalability for increasing member volume and data throughput.
• Define and enforce quality gates that delivery pods must meet before handing off code to production.
• Manage contractor resources and oversee their work to ensure high standards of quality and reliability.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
• 8+ years of progressive tech experience as a senior developer in large tech projects.
• 6+ years of full stack software engineering experience with 1-2 years focused on platform reliability, quality, or SRE.
• 2+ years of project leadership experience.
• Hands-on experience building and owning testing infrastructure including automated suites, integration, load, and end-to-end coverage.
• Strong understanding of observability practices such as structured logging, distributed tracing, metrics, and alerting.
• Experience designing and enforcing error handling and failure management patterns across distributed systems.
• Ability to work across a polyglot stack including Java, Python, Node.js, and TypeScript.
