The Lead Data Governance Analyst joins the Digital organization to advance data governance and product enablement for the Middle Office function and Order to Cash global process. This role involves standing up the data governance operating model across business domains, providing coaching, and translating policy into platform control requirements. You will develop maturity models, roadmaps, and training materials while ensuring data strategy solves real business problems. Key responsibilities include managing data quality, lineage, and stewardship practices. You will use SQL for data profiling, join analysis, and reconciliation to connect business concepts to evidence. Required skills include data classification, cleansing, ethics, and privacy. Preferred experience includes Databricks, Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, BigEye, and master data management platforms to support regulated and restricted-data requirements.
Stand up and manage the data governance operating model across multiple business domains.
Use SQL to perform data profiling, join analysis, and business-rule validation to answer substantive data questions.
Translate domain policy and compliance needs into platform control requirements and ensure their operating effectiveness.
Develop and deliver training materials, walkthroughs, and coaching for business Data Stewards.
Lead the design of data governance maturity models, roadmaps, and key performance indicators.
Identify opportunities to reuse existing data products and translate business needs into reusable data-product requirements.
Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors regarding data governance.
Collect and translate customer feedback into actionable improvements for data governance workflows and platform usability.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
Seven or more years of relevant experience is required.
Demonstrated hands-on data analyst experience using SQL for data profiling, joins, grain/key analysis, reconciliation, and quality investigation is required.
Experience working with business stakeholders to facilitate data governance activation, operating-model change initiatives, and multi-workstream progress is required.
Experience training, coaching, and influencing others to translate technical concepts into business language and reusable training materials is required.
Experience applying metadata, lineage, quality, stewardship, and issue-management practices to translate business needs into data-product requirements is required.
Experience translating policy or compliance requirements into data/platform controls and facilitating audit or control-remediation discussions is required.
Experience with Databricks, Unity Catalog, Microsoft Purview, BigEye, or master data management platforms is preferred (preferred).
