Lead Data Engineer, Solutioning

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements and product requests into well-defined data solution briefs including sourcing strategy and transformation logic.
• Partner with Data Architects to convert solution requirements into architectural patterns and data model designs.
• Provide technical sizing, risk assessments, and estimation guidance for complex project intake requests.
• Design and manage technology architectures for gathering and managing structured and unstructured data from diverse sources.
• Develop processes to optimize data flow, routing, and storage across cloud and local environments.
• Implement data cleansing, organization, and transformation tasks using advanced programming and automation techniques.
• Define design standards and quality assurance procedures to ensure data integrity and system compatibility.
• Analyze business needs to recommend improvements for data operations and infrastructure scalability.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of 7 years of related work experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software, Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Advanced development skills in cross-platform coding languages including SQL, Python, Java, and Scala.
• Expertise in SQL and scripting for data extraction, transformation, and building performant datasets with a focus on automation.
• Extensive experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as Snowflake, Databricks, Oracle, MongoDB, DynamoDB, and Redis.
• Proficiency in cloud technologies including AWS (Lambda, Kinesis, DMS, Managed Flink) and Google Cloud Platform.
• Familiarity with modern data stack tools like Spark, Airflow, or dbt.
• Ability to work in an agile environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
