The Lead Data Engineer - Risk Tech (Python, AWS) joins the Risk Tech team to transform risk management into a real-time, intelligent discipline. Working within the Risk Management Tech and AML and Compliance Tech pillars, you will design, develop, test, and support technical solutions in a full-stack environment. You will collaborate with Agile teams to build robust cloud-based solutions, perform unit tests, and conduct code reviews to ensure high performance. The role requires proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, SQL, and shell scripting, alongside experience with Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, and data warehousing services including Redshift and Snowflake. You will also utilize big data tools such as MapReduce, Flink, EMR, Kafka, and Spark to solve complex regulatory and risk monitoring problems.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build and maintain robust cloud-based solutions using AWS, Redshift, or Snowflake.
Develop applications using programming languages such as Python, Java, Scala, or Golang.
Implement and manage distributed microservices and real-time data streaming applications.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high performance and rigorous design.
Manage data storage and retrieval using Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on emerging tech trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Golang, Java or Scala (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Flink, EMR, Kafka, Spark, or MySQL) (preferred).
4+ years of experience working on real-time data and streaming applications (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
