JOB TITLE: Lead Data Engineer (Python, AWS, Spark, SQL, Snowflake, Databricks, & GenAI) (Enterprise Platforms Technology) The Lead Data Engineer joins the Enterprise Platforms Technology team to design, develop, test, and support technical solutions within a full-stack development environment. Working alongside developers experienced in machine learning and distributed microservices, you will build robust cloud-based solutions to drive powerful user experiences. Daily responsibilities include performing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other engineering community members. You will utilize a technical stack including Python, Java, Scala, SQL, and Spark, while leveraging tools such as AWS, Snowflake, Redshift, and NoSQL databases like Mongo or Cassandra. This role focuses on establishing enterprise-wide technology practices and solving complex business problems by marrying data with emerging technologies to support large-scale financial empowerment initiatives.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build and maintain robust cloud-based solutions using AWS, Redshift, and Snowflake.
Develop applications using programming languages including Java, Scala, Python, and SQL.
Implement distributed microservices and handle real-time data and streaming applications.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high performance and rigorous design.
Manage and integrate Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases like Mongo and Cassandra.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on emerging tech trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Spark, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra) (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
