JOB TITLE: Lead Data Engineer (Intelligent Foundations and Experiences) The Lead Data Engineer (Intelligent Foundations and Experiences) joins a horizontal technology organization focused on building real-time intelligent systems. In this role, you will collaborate with Agile teams to design, develop, test, and support full-stack technical solutions. You will work alongside developers with deep experience in machine learning and distributed microservices to deliver robust cloud-based solutions. Your daily tasks include performing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other engineering community members. You will utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python alongside Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake. The work involves solving complex business problems by integrating data with emerging technologies to drive powerful digital experiences and real-time data streaming applications.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build robust cloud-based solutions to drive customer experiences using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Develop applications using Java, Scala, Python, and SQL.
Manage and utilize Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and data warehousing services like Redshift or Snowflake.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high performance and elegant design.
Work with machine learning, distributed microservices, and real-time data streaming applications.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on new technology trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud, distributed data tools, real-time streaming, NoSQL, data warehousing, and UNIX/Linux (preferred).
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred).
Experience leveraging interactive AI tooling to accelerate productivity (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
