JOB TITLE: Lead Data Engineer-IC The Lead Data Engineer-IC joins the Risk Tech team to build and deploy proprietary risk management solutions powered by state-of-the-art AI technology. Working within an Agile environment, you will collaborate with the GRC team and various partners to design, develop, test, and support full-stack technical solutions. Your daily responsibilities include performing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other engineering community members. You will utilize programming languages such as Java, Scala, and Python alongside Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases, and cloud data warehousing services like Redshift and Snowflake. The role focuses on developing robust cloud-based solutions and distributed microservices to prevent risks and automatically detect issues using machine learning and real-time data streaming applications.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build and deploy proprietary risk management solutions powered by state-of-the-art AI technology.

Manage data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake for large-scale data processing.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high performance and elegant design.
Build and maintain distributed microservices and real-time data streaming applications.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on emerging tech trends.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience with data pipelines including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools (Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Gurobi, or MySQL) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with real-time data, streaming applications, NoSQL (Mongo, Cassandra), data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake), and UNIX/Linux (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
