As a Lead Data Engineer-IC, you will join an agile team to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions within a full-stack development environment. Your daily responsibilities include performing unit tests, conducting code reviews, and mentoring other members of the engineering community while staying current on emerging technology trends. The role requires proficiency in Java, Scala, Python, and SQL, along with experience in Open Source RDBMS, NoSQL databases like Mongo or Cassandra, and cloud warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake. You will also utilize distributed computing tools including Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, and Gurobi while working within a Linux environment using shell scripting.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools and technologies.
Build and maintain data pipelines using Java, Scala, Python, and SQL.
Develop robust cloud-based solutions using platforms like Redshift or Snowflake.
Implement distributed microservices and manage NoSQL and RDBMS databases.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure performance and high-quality design.
Mentor other members of the engineering community on emerging technologies and best practices.
Utilize interactive AI tooling to accelerate development productivity and output.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience with data pipelines using Python, SQL, Scala, or Java.
4+ years of experience with distributed data/computing tools like Spark, MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, EMR, Kafka, Gurobi, or MySQL.
4+ years of experience with NoSQL implementation (Mongo, Cassandra) and data warehousing (Redshift or Snowflake).
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices.
Work authorization that require immigration support from an employer.
