The Lead Data Engineer (Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering) joins the Cloud Operations Resilience Engineering technology division to evolve the foundational cloud infrastructure layer. The role requires expertise in big data technologies, cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, and real-time data streaming applications to solve complex infrastructure problems.

What you'll do

Design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions using full-stack development tools.
Build and maintain robust cloud-based solutions using Java, Scala, Python, and NoSQL databases.
Manage data warehousing services such as Redshift and Snowflake to support business needs.
Perform unit tests and conduct code reviews to ensure high performance and rigorous design.
Develop distributed microservices and real-time data streaming applications.
Mentor other members of the engineering community and share knowledge on emerging tech trends.
Deliver scalable cloud infrastructure solutions for observability, connectivity, and resilience.

What we're looking for

At least 4 years of experience in application development.
At least 2 years of experience in big data technologies.
At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).
7+ years of experience in application development including Python, SQL, Scala, or Java (preferred).
4+ years of experience with a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) (preferred).
4+ years of experience with Distributed data/computing tools, real-time data, NoSQL, data warehousing, and UNIX/Linux (preferred).
2+ years of experience with Agile engineering practices (preferred).
Bachelor’s Degree.
