Lead Solution Architect

What you'll do

• Translate business requirements into solution architectures including infrastructure, data modeling, and integration designs.
• Evaluate project scopes to balance delivery timelines, functional trade-offs, costs, and expected business value.
• Build alignment on proposed architectures and define phased implementation approaches to deliver early business value.
• Guide data engineering leads and infrastructure specialists on design, build, and testing requirements.
• Lead proofs of concept to validate new design patterns and technical approaches before broader implementation.
• Establish and document reusable detailed design patterns and coding standards across multiple projects.
• Participate throughout the SDLC to ensure teams meet architecture objectives and business requirements.
• Use stakeholder feedback to improve future designs, frameworks, and practices that accelerate delivery.

What we're looking for

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must reside in one of the specified states or Washington, D.C.
• Must be able to work primarily during Eastern Time Zone business hours.
• Four-year college degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
• Must have five or more years of experience as a data architect or in related hands-on roles like data engineer or data modeler.
• Must have hands-on experience with Databricks, Spark, Kafka, ingestion tools, and Lakehouse architectures.
• Must have experience designing ingestion solutions using change data capture, event streaming, and batch processing.
• Must possess certifications relevant to this position (preferred).
