Lead AI Engineer

What you'll do

• Design, build, and own agentic AI workflows that provide intelligent analysis and automation across the platform.
• Write and ship production-grade Python code for AI systems every sprint.
• Architect multi-step agentic pipelines that integrate with the platform's data layer and activation channels.
• Integrate large language models into workflows using prompt engineering, tool use, and context management.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure AI output quality, reliability, and safety in a regulated environment.
• Manage AI engineering contractors by setting expectations, reviewing work, and ensuring quality standards.
• Partner with frontend and product teams to integrate AI-powered recommendations into user-facing interfaces.
• Model best practices for AI-assisted development tools across the broader engineering organization.

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of software or ML engineering experience.
• 1-2 years of experience focused on LLM integration, agentic AI, or AI product engineering.
• Hands-on experience building production agentic systems, including multi-step pipelines and tool orchestration.
• Experience with RAG patterns and vector search in production environments.
• Strong Python engineering skills for building and shipping production-grade AI systems.
• Experience integrating LLM APIs such as Anthropic or OpenAI into real applications.
• Proven ability to lead a small team or pod and manage contractor resources.
• Deep fluency with AI productivity tools like Claude or Copilot.
