Lead AI Engineer – Generative AI & Agentic Systems (Assistant Vice President) joins the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Technology team to lead the end-to-end delivery of enterprise generative AI and agentic AI solutions. Key technologies include Python, LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Strands, Pydantic AI, AutoGen, and Amazon Bedrock. The position focuses on solving complex compliance challenges by transforming technical concepts into measurable business value through the development of production-grade systems that ensure security, scalability, and reliability within the specific domain of anti-money laundering technology.

What you'll do

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of generative AI and agentic AI solutions from ideation to production.
  • Design AI applications using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, and agent orchestration frameworks.
  • Build scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines for structured and unstructured data in Databricks.
  • Develop secure APIs, microservices, and cloud-native services on AWS infrastructure.
  • Establish engineering standards for evaluation, observability, monitoring, and AI guardrails.
  • Optimize production solutions for performance, reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers while building the team's AI capabilities.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information systems, data science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • At least five years of technology experience.
  • At least two years of experience focused on generative AI, agentic AI, machine learning, or AI platform engineering.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise applications from concept through production.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and experience building APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience developing cloud-native solutions on AWS.
  • Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, data pipelines, and lakehouse architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD, GitHub, containers, infrastructure as code, application security, monitoring, and production support.
