What you'll do

  • Manage the laboratory compute support service provider by coordinating daily priorities, monitoring performance, and ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Lead and direct assigned analysts to ensure consistent service practices and the timely completion of technical deliverables.
  • Provide technical coordination for maintenance, problem resolution, inventory management, and deployment of laboratory computing devices.
  • Consult with scientific partners to align equipment lifecycle plans with business needs, regulatory requirements, and security controls.
  • Advise on laboratory equipment procurement by evaluating compute requirements, data storage needs, and integration capabilities.
  • Partner with technology teams to define system architectures and ensure successful integration with other platforms.
  • Identify recurring support themes and operational risks to drive process standardization and automation opportunities.
  • Collect and analyze stakeholder feedback to improve service programs and the overall laboratory computing experience.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 6 years experience, Master’s with 5 years, or PhD in information systems, computer science, life sciences, or a related field.
  • Experience in IT, laboratory operations technology, informatics, endpoint support, service delivery, or a related discipline.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose complex issues and coordinate cross-functional resolutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead meetings, facilitate discussions, and communicate technical topics to both scientific and technology audiences.
  • Ability to manage third-party service providers, managed service teams, and analysts.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment (preferred).
  • Knowledge of laboratory equipment lifecycle management, computing devices, and regulated environment compliance (preferred).
  • Experience with inventory management, deployment coordination, and support process improvement in scientific environments (preferred).
