What you'll do

Deploy and manage Kafka connectors such as CDC, JDBC, and IBM MQ in Confluent environments.
Containerize and deploy microservices and connectors on OpenShift using Docker, YAML, and Kustomize.
Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and Argo CD for automated deployments.
Perform Kafka administration tasks including topic creation, partitioning, replication, and monitoring.
Build and maintain custom connectors for specialized data sources and sinks.
Monitor cluster health using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
Support production deployments and troubleshoot complex issues across Kafka pipelines and OpenShift environments.
Automate deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks to ensure platform reliability and scalability.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required.
7 years of relevant work experience is required.
Strong hands-on experience with Kafka in production environments is required.
Experience with Kafka deployments in Kubernetes platforms like OpenShift and Docker is required.
Experience building custom microservices in Python or Java is required.
Experience with Kafka security including TLS, ACLs, and RBAC is required.
Experience with Schema Registry, Kafka Connect, or MirrorMaker is preferred.
Experience with Oracle Golden Gate or similar CDC tools is preferred.
