The Junior Applications Engineer joins the team to provide technical guidance and information to customers on both a pre-sales and post-sales basis. This role involves partnering with sales teams and internal stakeholders to understand technical requirements, recommend solutions aligned with manufacturing capabilities, and resolve complex questions regarding analog and mixed-signal products. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting, characterizing, and validating system-level issues through hands-on laboratory testing and root cause analysis while managing project scope and documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field and demonstrates proficiency in analog circuit design, troubleshooting, and validation. Required skills include technical communication to influence decisions and experience with electronic products. Preferred tools include Autodesk Inventor for 3D CAD modeling, Visual Basic for Applications, SharePoint workflows, Microsoft Power Automate, and the broader Microsoft Office suite.
Provide technical guidance and information to customers during pre-sales and post-sales phases.
Recommend solutions that align customer requirements with product design, fabrication, and manufacturing capabilities.
Resolve complex customer questions regarding analog and mixed-signal products and assembly processes.
Identify and mitigate technical, capacity, and scheduling risks while proposing viable solutions.
Troubleshoot, characterize, and validate system-level issues through hands-on laboratory testing and root cause analysis.
Define project scope and document customer requirements to support planning and execution.
Communicate potential design concerns and manufacturing roadblocks to drive timely resolutions.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, reports, and communications for ongoing engineering activities.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience considered).
1-3 years of experience supporting analog circuit design, troubleshooting, validation, and technical problem resolution.
Strong technical competency in analog and mixed-signal design to solve complex product and system-level issues.
Hands-on laboratory experience testing, characterizing, debugging, and recreating customer issues for electronic products.
Excellent written and verbal technical communication skills to influence decisions and work across cross-functional teams.
Experience translating customer requirements into product recommendations or specifications (preferred).
Experience supporting project planning, scope definition, and engineering documentation (preferred).
Knowledge of 3D CAD modeling tools, VBA, SharePoint workflows, or Microsoft Power Automate (preferred).
