As a Journeyman-level Joint Fires Operational Planner supporting USCYBERCOM’s J3 Operations, you will provide critical operational planning and targeting support to ensure the achievement of tactical objectives and strategic end-states. Your day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating with various commands like DISA and NSA to develop cyber tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs), drafting policies, and participating in Joint Targeting Working Groups to synchronize target requirements. You will also manage advanced target development lists, analyze intelligence data for threat patterns, and facilitate the integration of targeting activities into broader joint operations. This role requires a deep understanding of the Joint Targeting Cycle, proficiency with tools like MIDB and Coliseum, and experience in operational planning within CO or intelligence operations. Ideal candidates possess a relevant degree or equivalent experience, DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification, and familiarity with USCYBERCOM’s organizational structure and mission.
Provide timely and accurate operational planning support for USCYBERCOM Joint Fires Targeting.
Coordinate targeting strategy development with interagency organizations to implement USCYBERCOM requirements.
Develop cyber TTPs to advise future operations planners on achieving Cyberspace Operations effects.
Serve as technical liaison between capability SMEs, developers, testers, and operating units during planning and operations.
Draft and assist in the development of USCYBERCOM joint targeting policies and commander's guidance.
Participate in Joint Targeting Working Groups to prioritize and synchronize target requirements.
What we're looking for
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Polygraph required.
Five to eight years of experience supporting Cyber Operations or intelligence operations with a focus on Joint Targeting.
DoD or Intelligence Community-sponsored certification for Joint Targeting and operational planning training.
DOD 8140/DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certified.
Strong familiarity with Cyber Operations, the DoD Information Environment, and Joint Fires process.
Demonstrated experience working with targeting Boards and Working Groups (JTWG, JTCM, JTCB).
Broad knowledge of Blue-space Cyber capabilities and understanding of available Cyber infrastructure for Defensive and Offensive Cyberspace Operations.
