Jira Manager

What you'll do

• Own the overall strategy, roadmap, and operational health of the Jira platform.
• Establish governance standards, administration practices, and configuration controls for the Atlassian ecosystem.
• Oversee day-to-day administration of projects, workflows, permissions, and automation rules.
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions and Jira configurations.
• Drive process optimization through workflow redesign and the implementation of automation rules.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and metrics to support leadership visibility and KPIs.
• Lead, mentor, and develop Jira administrators and platform support resources.
• Maintain system security, access controls, and documentation for audit readiness and compliance.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of hands-on experience administering and configuring Jira in a business or enterprise environment.
• 3+ years of experience leading Jira-related initiatives, platform governance, or people/project management responsibilities.
• Deep expertise in Jira administration, workflows, schemes, permissions, issue types, screen configurations, custom fields, and automation.
• Strong understanding of Atlassian ecosystem tools such as Confluence and Jira Service Management.
• Experience with Jira Cloud and/or Jira Data Center environments.
• Experience with Atlassian marketplace apps such as ScriptRunner, Automation for Jira, Insight/Assets, Structure, Tempo, or similar tools.
• Atlassian certifications or other relevant platform certifications (preferred).
