As a Java Software Engineer III within the Asset & Wealth Management team, you will join an agile group focused on designing, developing, and delivering secure, stable, and scalable software components for state-of-the-art technology products. You will execute technical solutions through the design, development, and troubleshooting of multiple system components while managing complex deliverables. Your daily work involves writing high-quality code, analyzing large data sets to inform decision-making, and utilizing enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools for refactoring, unit test creation, and documentation. The role requires proficiency in Java, React, AWS, and database querying languages within a full Software Development Life Cycle. You will navigate technical implications of upstream and downstream systems while applying knowledge of CI/CD, application resiliency, and security standards to solve problems of basic complexity within a large corporate environment.
Design, develop, and troubleshoot multiple components within a technical product or system.
Write secure, high-quality code using at least one programming language with limited guidance.
Utilize enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, and unit test creation.
Validate AI-generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards.
Apply knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain to improve automation value.
Analyze large, diverse datasets to identify problems and support decision-making for stable application development.
Develop code with consideration for upstream and downstream system impacts.
What we're looking for
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 2+ years of applied experience.
Experience building with Java, React, and AWS.
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools to create, troubleshoot, and refine outputs for security and performance.
Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle and exposure to agile methodologies like CI/CD and Application Resiliency.
Familiarity with modern front-end technologies (preferred); Exposure to cloud technologies (preferred).
