What you'll do

  • Define and implement solution architecture for high-volume, resilient systems.
  • Develop, debug, and test object-oriented Java/J2EE code and RESTful APIs.
  • Build cloud-native services using 12-Factor principles and messaging platforms like Kafka or MQ.
  • Contribute to CI/CD and DevSecOps practices to ensure secure, repeatable deployments.
  • Perform database design, performance tuning, and optimization for relational and non-relational stores.
  • Apply design patterns and algorithmic approaches to improve system maintainability and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and operate within complex IT environments involving networking and security considerations.

What we're looking for

  • You must possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization.
  • 5+ years of experience as a member of engineering teams delivering resilient, high-volume solutions built in Java/J2EE.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience building RESTful APIs (JSON over HTTPS) with recent experience using Java and Spring Frameworks (Spring Boot).
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience designing, writing, debugging, and testing object-oriented code.
  • Experience developing 12-Factor cloud-native services messaging architectures including Kafka, MQ, and ESB.
  • Experience with both relational and non-relational database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Advanced understanding of design patterns, software algorithms, and coding techniques to improve testability and maintainability.
  • High proficiency with modern CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience with cloud migration and platforms such as Azure, PCF, OpenShift, or AWS (preferred).
  • Experience with Splunk (preferred).
  • Experience with file transfer technologies like NDM, Connect:Direct, or IBM FileGateway (preferred).
