Java Backend Developer, Vice President

What you'll do

• Establish and implement new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team.
• Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities to meet business goals.
• Identify and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new products and process improvements.
• Resolve high-impact problems through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes and industry standards.
• Develop standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation based on system flow knowledge.
• Ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint.
• Serve as an advisor and coach to mid-level developers and analysts while allocating their work.
• Assess business risks to ensure compliance with applicable laws, rules, and internal policies.

What we're looking for

• At least 6-10 years of hands-on application development experience.
• Strong experience and knowledge in Core Java 11/17 and J2EE.
• Solid understanding and experience with Microservices architecture (Spring Boot) and building event-driven distributed architecture.
• Expertise in Web Services (REST/SOAP), Design Patterns, Concurrency Framework, Kafka, and data structures/Collections.
• Expert level SQL skills and basic knowledge of Python.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree (preferred).
• Experience with OpenShift, Angular 14, cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile methodologies (preferred).
