The ITSM Administrator joins the team to manage the administration, configuration, and continuous improvement of the IT Service Management platform within a mission-focused environment. The role involves maintaining the health of the ITSM environment while supporting critical ITIL processes including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Asset Management. Day-to-day responsibilities include troubleshooting platform issues, managing user access and security controls, maintaining configuration documentation, and developing custom reports and performance dashboards to monitor key metrics. The candidate will also plan and execute platform upgrades and patches while ensuring minimal operational disruption. Required technical skills include expert-level ServiceNow ITSM Suite administration and development, experience with Windows Server or Linux/CentOS environments, and scripting in JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, or SQL. The role addresses the challenge of maintaining reliable systems and processes for critical mission operations.
Administer the ITSM platform including user access, permissions, security controls, and overall system health.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues within prescribed timelines to ensure operational continuity.
Configure and optimize core ITIL modules including Incident, Problem, Change, Request, and Asset Management.
Maintain configuration management and lifecycle documentation for all mission IT assets.
Create custom reports, performance analytics, and dashboards to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Plan, test, and execute platform upgrades, patches, and hotfixes with minimal disruption to operations.
Provide recommendations for software updates and hardware replacements based on system needs.
What we're looking for
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree and 3+ years of experience in a related field.
Active DoD Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) security clearance.
Expert level experience with ServiceNow ITSM Suite administration and development.
3+ years of experience supporting ServiceNow 9x or higher, including Asset Management and ServiceNow Discovery.
3+ years of hands-on experience with Asset Management, Service Request Management, and Change Management.
3+ years of administration experience with Windows Server and/or Linux/CentOS environments.
2+ years of experience with ServiceNow reporting and performance metrics or comparable tools.
Basic to intermediate scripting skills in JavaScript, PowerShell, Python, or SQL; CompTIA Security+, ITIL V4 Foundation, and ServiceNow certifications (preferred).
