What you'll do

  • Lead the architectural design and integration of security products into the enterprise network.
  • Identify and mitigate cybersecurity risks, trends, and vulnerabilities across infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement security strategies, policies, and enforcement mechanisms.
  • Review new systems, networks, and software designs for potential security risks.
  • Supervise, mentor, and assign tasks to a team of IT security specialists and contractors.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex security incidents and technical challenges.
  • Coordinate with incident response teams and law enforcement to investigate security violations.
  • Manage firewall upgrades and SSL VPN tunnel management across Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto platforms.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 10 years of related experience (8 with MS; 14 without degree).
  • 5 years of system administration experience and 7 years of system security administration experience.
  • Experience with Cisco/Fortigate, Juniper, and Palo Alto security platforms.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Nmap, Wireshark, and tcpdump.
  • Strong grasp of networking protocols including TCP/UDP, OSI Model, VLANs, and routing.
  • Experience leading a team of 3-5 network security engineers.
  • CISSP certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months) and ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
  • Familiarity with SIEM, proxy, and URL filtering systems (preferred).
