TL;DR · IT Data Center Infrastructure Coordinator

The IT Data Center Infrastructure Coordinator manages routine operations, planning, and maintenance for enterprise-level data centers while defining architectural standards and developing build requirements with global teams. This role serves as the primary coordinator for activities including structured cabling services, capacity management, infrastructure lifecycle planning, and operational readiness. You will manage daily installations, moves, adds, changes, and decommissions while monitoring space, power, cooling, and environmental requirements using AI/ML-driven insights. The position requires coordinating with Network, Compute, Storage, Security, and Infrastructure Engineering teams to ensure facility stability and security. Key technical competencies include knowledge of DCIM tools, asset management, and structured cabling standards. Candidates should possess experience in infrastructure modernization and may hold ITIL, CDCP, or BICSI certifications. You will solve complex problems regarding capacity forecasting, site readiness, and maintaining accurate documentation for large-scale data center environments.

What you'll do

  • Manage daily enterprise data center operations including installations, moves, adds, changes, and decommissioning activities.
  • Monitor and optimize capacity for space, power, cooling, and environmental requirements using DCIM tools.
  • Lead structured cabling operations including rack installations, pathway management, and documentation of labeling standards.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT teams and facilities for power, cooling, and security initiatives.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors to deliver infrastructure projects on schedule and in compliance with standards.
  • Perform capacity forecasting, asset management, and floor layout documentation for data center expansion.
  • Maintain operational governance through audits, compliance reviews, incident management, and vendor oversight.

What we're looking for

  • Experience supporting enterprise or corporate data center environments.
  • Familiarity with DCIM, asset management, or tools used to manage resource availability.
  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards and established guidelines.
  • Experience coordinating facilities maintenance and infrastructure modernization activities.
  • ITIL, CDCP, BICSI, or related industry certifications (preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience supporting data center operations, infrastructure deployment, facilities coordination, and multi-functional projects.
