What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain bare-metal firmware and low-level device drivers for reference platform bring-up.
  • Perform early hardware bring-up and debug for new boards and chipsets across hardware and firmware boundaries.
  • Implement and extend test firmware for platform validation, manufacturing tests, and factory enablement.
  • Analyze hardware failures using schematics, register traces, logic analyzer data, and lab instrumentation.
  • Resolve hardware and software integration issues by collaborating with silicon, systems, and hardware design teams.
  • Adapt software to support multiple platforms and hardware variants across different configurations.
  • Conduct code reviews and document best practices for low-level embedded software development.
  • Mentor junior engineers on debugging techniques and platform bring-up processes.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Engineering experience.
  • 2+ years of work experience with programming languages such as C, C++, Java, or Python.
  • Strong expertise in device driver and bare-metal software development, including register-level programming and hardware bring-up.
  • Working knowledge of hardware interfaces and protocols including SPI, USB, I2C/I3C, PCIe, UART, UFS, MIPI CSI/DSI, and CAN.
  • Proficiency with debug tools like Lauterbach Trace32 and JTAG-based debuggers, and hands-on experience with oscilloscopes and multimeters.
  • 8+ years of experience in embedded systems development, device drivers, or firmware development (preferred).
