JOB TITLE: iOS Engineer - Wallet The Wallet Engineering team is seeking an iOS Engineer to develop features for a platform that replaces the physical wallet. Depending on the specific team, you will work on Transit, Access, Identity, and Provisioning, First Party Products like Apple Card and Apple Cash, or the Core Wallet Experience. Your daily responsibilities include building high-level user interfaces, writing background processing and networking code, and developing frameworks for internal and third-party use. You will solve complex technical challenges regarding performance, memory management, and privacy for millions of users. The role requires proficiency in Swift and Objective-C, along with experience in user-interface programming. You will support a diverse ecosystem including transit cards, digital IDs, and financial products, ensuring a polished and intuitive experience across various platforms.

What you'll do

Develop high-level user interfaces for Wallet products including transit cards and digital IDs.
Write background processing and networking code to support global-scale features.
Build and maintain frameworks for internal Apple teams and third-party developers.
Optimize application performance for fast launch times and smooth scrolling.
Implement secure features for NFC Express mode and Passive Entry using UWB.
Develop financial products including Apple Card, Apple Savings, and Apple Cash.
Ensure all Wallet interactions meet Apple's rigorous performance and privacy standards.

What we're looking for

BS in Computer Science or equivalent.
5+ years of strong programming skills, preferably with Swift and/or Objective-C.
5+ years of user-interface programming experience.
Excellent communication and collaborative skills.
Passion for product quality and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle dynamic project priorities.
Deep understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and memory management across OS software layers (preferred).
Experience developing on iOS, macOS, and/or watchOS (preferred).
Experience incorporating AI tools into the development process (preferred).
