Investor Services Technology - Data Solutions Senior Vice President serves as the definitive data architecture authority for the Investor Services program, covering Custody, Fund Administration, and Securities Finance. This hands-on role involves creating production-quality artifacts including data models, canonical schemas, and technical standards while building a suite of reusable tools and automation to accelerate integration across multiple platforms. The successful candidate will define modeling standards, manage API contracts, and establish governance frameworks for complex financial data flows. Required expertise includes conceptual, logical, and physical modeling; JSON Schema and Avro formats; and experience with Apache Kafka, Solace, Databricks, Snowflake, or cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proficiency in Python or Java is required to build utilities. The role addresses critical challenges in asset servicing, fund accounting, and regulatory reporting within the global financial services sector.
Define and own data modeling standards, naming conventions, and API contracts across all Investor Services domains.
Create and maintain canonical data models, enterprise data dictionaries, and business glossaries for Custody and Fund Services.
Design and publish implementation-ready canonical message formats such as JSON schemas and Avro files.
Develop shared architecture utilities including schema validators, lineage trackers, and automated code generators to accelerate delivery.
Act as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and engineering teams to resolve conflicts and finalize data contracts.
Establish data governance frameworks covering ownership, stewardship, classification, and lineage for regulatory compliance.
Identify and remove technical bottlenecks by providing hands-on architectural contributions to unblock platform development teams.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
10 to 12+ years of experience in technology, with at least 6 years in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise architecture within financial services.
Proven track record as a hands-on data architect authoring data models, schemas, and technical standards rather than just providing advisory.
Deep domain knowledge of Custody and/or Fund Services is required.
Expert proficiency in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling techniques including ERD design.
Expertise in canonical data format design (JSON Schema, Avro) and API design patterns (OpenAPI, AsyncAPI).
Ability to write production-quality code in Python or Java to build and contribute to data architecture utilities.
Experience with cloud platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, AWS, Azure, or GCP) and event-driven architectures like Apache Kafka.
