Intern, Information Security Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Assess security infrastructure and network designs to ensure overall system security.
• Identify security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities across networks, systems, applications, and new technologies.
• Oversee the development, testing, and operation of firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and anti-virus tools.
• Develop policies and procedures for securing system infrastructure and applications.
• Create technical assessments to evaluate engineering initiatives and provide support for security standards.
• Perform product evaluations and implement recommended services for network security.
• Provide clients with recommendations on information assurance engineering standards and emerging technologies.

What we're looking for

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Candidates who completed their Bachelor’s degree within the last 12 months are eligible.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking and security infrastructure such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS, IPSec, and VPNs (preferred).
• Knowledge of system security topics including Antivirus, Authentication, Access Control, Cryptography, and Application Security (preferred).
• Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain the required security clearance.
