As an Intern Data Specialist - AI & Analytics - 2027, you will join the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center team to help organizations transform data into actionable insights and automate business processes. What you'll do

Support data engineering services and AI initiatives to improve business performance and operational efficiency.
Assist team members with designing, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines and modern data platforms.
Perform data preparation, transformation, validation, and quality activities to support analytics and AI solutions.
Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends and generate actionable business insights.
Test and validate data engineering and analytics solutions to build trusted, scalable data environments.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data modernization and enterprise AI transformation initiatives.

What we're looking for

High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
Basic understanding of programming concepts with exposure to Python, SQL, Java, or similar technologies.
Basic understanding of databases, data structures, data processing, analytics, and how data supports business decision-making.
Exposure to data preparation, transformation, visualization, analytics, or business problem-solving through coursework, projects, research, or certifications.
Awareness of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and their impact on business and digital transformation.
Familiarity with SQL, ETL/ELT concepts, data visualization tools, cloud platforms, or machine learning workflows (preferred).
