JOB TITLE: Intern Data Specialist - AI & Analytics - 2027 As an Intern Data Specialist - AI & Analytics - 2027, you will join the IBM Consulting FutureNow Center to support the AI, Analytics, Automation & Data Services practice. You will work alongside experienced professionals to help organizations modernize data platforms, build scalable data pipelines, and develop AI-driven solutions that improve business performance. Your daily responsibilities include designing, building, testing, and maintaining data pipelines, as well as performing data preparation, transformation, and validation. You will utilize skills in Python, SQL, and Java while working with databases, cloud platforms, and machine learning workflows. This role addresses complex business challenges by transforming structured and unstructured data into actionable insights to support digital transformation and enterprise data architectures across various industries including healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.

What you'll do

Design, build, test, and maintain data pipelines and data integration processes.

What we're looking for

High School Diploma/GED.
Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
Interest in data engineering, Artificial Intelligence, analytics, automation, cloud technologies, or digital transformation concepts.
Basic understanding of programming concepts with exposure to Python, SQL, Java, or similar technologies.
Basic understanding of databases, data structures, data processing, analytics, and how data supports business decision-making.
Exposure to data preparation, transformation, visualization, analytics, or business problem-solving through coursework, projects, research, or certifications.
Awareness of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Generative AI, and emerging technologies.
Exposure to data engineering, analytics, automation, AI, cloud technologies, or enterprise data platforms (preferred).
Familiarity with databases, SQL, ETL/ELT concepts, data visualization tools, cloud platforms, machine learning workflows, or modern data architectures (preferred).
